PM Carney Speaks After Canada Suspends US Trade Talks

 

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney addressed the media after suspending trade negotiations with the United States, saying Washington “asked too much and offered too little.” Carney rejected last-minute U.S. terms as unfair and pledged to match incoming 50% tariffs on roughly C$28 billion of Canadian goods dollar for dollar.
