The Epitome of Courage, Dedication, and Selflessness - F16 Pilot, Heather Penny, Prepared to Ram Civilian Flight on 9/11.

This is a stunning interview with the F16 pilot, Heather "Lucky" Penny, who was prepared to give her life to keep flight 93 from flying into, perhaps, the White House.

Here is the Link to the Interview.

On 9/11, the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 stormed the cockpit, forcing the hijacked jet to crash in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. But before the world knew of their bravery, members of Washington, D.C.’s Air National Guard were prepared to make their own sacrifice. Nick Schifrin brings us the story of pilot Heather “Lucky” Penney.

Penney was the "only woman in her fighter pilot training class and the only woman in her fighter squadron", the 121st Fighter Squadron of the District of Columbia Air National Guard, stationed at Joint Base Andrews. In 2009, she transferred to the 201st Airlift Squadron, which provides short notice worldwide transportation for the executive branch, members of Congress, Department of Defense officials and high-ranking U.S. and foreign dignitaries.
